PT Indoturbine and Solar Turbines maintain a strong field service organization to provide customer support for operation and maintenance of Solar turbo-machinery installations in Indonesia.
Solar trained technical specialists are available to our customers for installation, commissioning, start-up, operations and maintenance of Solar turbo-machinery equipments and related balance-of-plants.
Currently PT Indoturbine and Solar Turbines employ 16 full-time National and Expatriate Service Personnel based in Indonesia comprising of 14 Field Service Engineers, 1 Engineering Specialist, and 1 Service Manager.
In addition to the service organization based in Indonesia, Solar maintains more that 10 full-time Service Engineers in Singapore to provide back-up support for Indonesia and other ASEAN countries.

PT Indoturbine/Solar maintains US $ 3,500,000 inventory of component parts and consumables in Jakarta and Bandung to support customer operations.
The Solar Parts Depots are fully staffed with highly qualified personnel to ensure prompt parts delivery.
Replacement parts, including complete engine assemblies and other major components are available for immediate shipment to fulfill customer operational requirements.
In addition, Solar maintain a Central Parts Depot in Singapore to support Solar customers in the ASEAN Countries including Indonesia. Singapore Parts Depot capabilities are as follows:

ENGINE EXCHANGE PROGRAM
PT Indoturbine/Solar offers engine exchange program to minimize operation downtime in the event of engine overhaul or un-scheduled major repair.
A fleet of Solar Saturn, Centaur, Taurus, and Mars engines are available for rapid deployment to customer and quick field installation can be performed to ensure minimum operational interruptions.
Commonality of one customer Solar turbine installations with other customers operating in Indonesia and South East Asia will provide the customers with the benefit of economical Engine Exchange support.
BANDUNG OVERHAUL FACILITY
Since 1987, PT Indoturbine and Solar Turbines has developed the capability to perform turbine overhaul and compressor repair and re-staging services in Bandung , Indonesia, in cooperation with PT Nusantara Turbin dan Propulsi ( formerly IPTN/UMC ). All overhauls works are fully supervised and certified by Solar under Technology Transfer Agreement. Overhaul works performed in Bandung use Solar certified parts only and overhauled engines are fully tested utilizing Solar designed test cell and carry Solar OEM Overhaul Warranty.
Solar in-country overhaul will provide customers with the following advantages:
- Ability to take active participation in the overhaul works
- Better understanding and surveillance of overhaul procedures
- Inspection of engine during disposition
- Easier access to the overhaul works being performed
- Easy witnessing of engine testing
- Reduce turn-around time for overhaul
To date more than 600 major components of Solar turbines and compressors have been successfully overhauled in Solar's Bandung Overhaul Facility.

PT. Indoturbine / Solar Turbines Incorporated offers technical instruction ranging from classroom courses to performance-based practical training conducted by veteran technical instructors.
Solar's Video Communication Studio produces high quality video-cassette learning programs for self-paced, individual study. Solar courses range from basic operating and maintenance procedures to specialized engineering-level seminars.
Technical training provided by Solar is designed for results and based on clearly defined objectives and achievable performance levels. The curriculum for each course is carefully structured to provide the optimum balance between academic theories and practical hands-on experienced.
Methodology includes appropriate in-progress assessment of student perception and post-instructional testing and evaluation.
Solar's technical training experience spends more than 20 years and is unequalled in the industry. More than 16,000 technicians and engineers have completed course conducted by Solar's professionally trained and technically experienced instructors.
Knowledge and skills gained from these courses have enable those students to keep the reliability of their turbine package up and maintenance costs down. Solar's worldwide training organization includes instructional psychologists, designers and technologists as well as experienced professional instructors.
The Video Production Studio produces broadcast quality training programs for self-study and reinforcement in instructor-led courses.
The objective of every Solar training course is to assist our customers in maximizing equipment availability and performance while minimizing the cost of ownership through proper and effective training of technical personnel.
Our Regional Training Coordinator is available to consult with the customer's Technical and Training Staff to design a program tailored to the needs and skills requirements of their operating and maintenance personnel.

Recognizing that Indonesian customers have varying requirements and operating limitations, we are prepared to negotiate contracts covering any scope of our technical services from routine inspection and / or maintenance to all operation, maintenance and personnel training.
